Selhattin Urfalı, an important actor in global trade with more than 25 years of foreign trade experience, laid the foundations of Coimex during his graduate studies at Harvard Business School. The problem he saw was that millions of foreign trade companies, especially SMEs, had trust issues and could not sufficiently digitize. Onur Kutlu Gago, who is a serial entrepreneur with a history of working with startups in Silicon Valley, became a cofounder, admiring the vision of Coimex, and the two partners accelerated the work.
